Before my time at Nike, I worked as a Product Data and Merchandising Intern at Wilson Sporting Goods. My project involved using competitive analysis and user metrics to improve how we can market our products online.

Outside of my role, I also had the chance to shadow our Basketball Product Line Manager, who showed me the ropes on all things PLM. Through some side projects, I was able to help test 7 new basketballs, providing critical feedback on materials and textures for the line. I also helped craft a presentation for Dick’s Sporting Goods, putting together slides that showcased upcoming colorways for some basketballs.

Another person I got a chance to chat with was our Footwear Product Director, who gave me an intro to the industry and helped solidify the fact that I had an interest in shoes.

After this experience, I made it a personal goal to find a role in the sports industry, and I knew Nike was where I wanted to be.
